‘Zamma’ was the original Mayan name for the city of Tulum, which meant ‘new beginning.’ So it’s hardly surprising that those looking to recharge their mind, rejuvenate their body, and replenish their soul, choose Tulum and Zamas Hotel as their dream vacation spot.
Located right on the sugary white beach among the slender coconut palm trees, Zamas is a small beachfront cabana hotel, which features 8 private beach bungalows.
Each bungalow is a romantic Caribbean getaway with a thatch roof over your head and smooth, cool tiled floors under your feet. Comfortable beds and colorfully-tiled private bathrooms guarantee you’ll always start your morning on the right foot. And, of course, a large Caribbean porch with Mexican hamacas (hammocks) softly swaying in the sea breeze is a great way to kick off your vacationing days.
You can’t go wrong with Zamas beach bungalows, whether you are looking for a romantic getaway, a fun trip with a couple of friends, or a memorable family vacation.
Especially because each cabana is different in terms of size, layout, and occupancy (see the amenities section below for more details). In fact, Zamas hotel even includes a couple of 2-story Casas, which are spacious enough to accommodate up to 6 people. The Zamas Casas are only separated by a small road from the beach. Although, the elevated, unobstructed beach and ocean views from the second floor of the Casas are worthy of a snapshot.
Zamas’ rustic chic ambiance and laid-back hammock culture have the best location.
First, you have a famous Zama’s Que Fresco open-air beach restaurant just 100 meters away. So, whenever you have cravings for ‘muy fuerte’ margaritas, wood fired pizza, or deliciously fresh seafood, you won’t have to look far. This is one of our favorite spots on Tulum beach, whether for breakfast, lunch, or dinner!
This is also one of the great spots for snorkeling. On the days when the water is calm, make sure that you’ll check out the shipwreck (just 50 meters off Tulum’s shore) and plenty of colorful fish that live there.
Also, be sure to visit the Mayan Ruins of Tulum, Coba ruins, the Pueblo of Tulum, and mystic fresh water cenotes. Just down the beach road is the Sian Kaan Biosphere Reserve, with its pristine mangrove estuaries and abundant wildlife.
One thing is clear: you won’t run out of fun and exciting activities when staying in Tulum, and Zamas Bungalows Hotel. So, stop procrastinating and add this eclectic beachfront property to your inquiry by pressing the red button below!
